about

The Islamic Association of Mid-Cities, also known as Colleyville Masjid, is a vibrant Islamic community located in Colleyville, Texas. The mosque was founded in 1994 by a group of Muslim families who sought to establish a place of worship where they could gather, pray, and connect with one another.

In the early years, the community met in various locations, including rented spaces and members’ homes. As the community grew, they began searching for a permanent location to establish their mosque. In 2001, they were able to purchase a 3.3-acre property in Colleyville and began construction on what is now the current facility.

The mosque’s construction was completed in 2003, and it has since become a central hub for the local Muslim community. The mosque features a large, open-concept prayer hall, classrooms, offices, a library, and a multipurpose room for community events. The mosque’s distinctive dome and minaret are visible from the surrounding area, making it a recognizable landmark in the community.

Over the years, Colleyville Masjid has become an important center for Islamic education and community service. The mosque offers a range of educational programs, including classes on the Quran, Islamic history, and Arabic language. The mosque also hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including Eid celebrations, interfaith events, and outreach activities.

Colleyville Masjid has become an integral part of the local community, and its members have worked hard to build bridges of understanding and respect with their neighbors of all faiths. The mosque’s leadership has actively engaged with local officials, law enforcement, and neighbors in many events, but most notably, the Annual Colleyville Peace Walk.

Today, Colleyville Masjid continues to thrive as a vital organ of the city of Colleyville, Texas
