Beginning

Masjid As-Sahaba was started in 2003 as a non-profit organization by a group of local brothers from Columbus, Ohio. The Masjid was established after consulting with the scholars and being advised to establish a masjid. Therefore, we proceeded to purchase a small building for such purpose, on Hudson Street.

The main goal of opening the Masjid was to establish a place of worship that could provide the local community in Central Ohio with a pure understanding of Islam, based on the Quran and Sunnah of our beloved messenger, Muhammad( salla Allahu alayhi wa Sallam), upon the understanding of the Sahaba.

This was to be done by teaching daily classes, yearly seminars, and the implementation of the above mentioned methodology within the Masjid.

Masjid Design

In 2008, the community out grew its current location. We purchased a building nearby that is ten times larger. Since the purchase of this building we have been constantly renovating and trying to slowly make it look like a traditional Masjid and not like that of a nondescript warehouse. This has all been done by the grace of Allah, followed by the generous donations of our brothers and sisters.
