Asalamu alakum Brothers and Sisters,
 
I wanted to congratulate all of you on the opening of our new masjid. We are in our 5th month and we have more than  quadrupled the attendees for almost all the prayers. Insh’Allah we hope over time this increases even more.

But we have another hurdle in our way and that is the monthly costs to run the masjid. In our prior location we were blessed to have a low rent along with utilities that were split among the tenants. In our new masjid we bear all the cost and we will have a full time imam, so we are expecting the operating costs to quadruple.

Brothers and sisters - Our commitment to operating and maintaining the masjid is directly tied to our iman as Allah said:

إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَـٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ

The masajid of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day.

Currently, we have about $10,000 in recurring monthly payments by 50 families. Our goal is to reach $16,000/ month, so that means we need $6,000/ month to cover the gap. Alhamdullah, we have over 150 families in our community, if each of the remaining families commits to at least $50/ month, that will cover our costs. That is less than $2/ day - less than a cup of coffee. We ask that you establish your donation on a monthly recurring bases - whether its $25, $100, $150, etc.
