The Eastern Twin Cities Islamic Center (ETCIC), formarly known as Islamic Society of Woodbury – East Metro (ISWEM) was founded in 2009 and is a non-profit organization located in Woodbury, MN. ETCIC has become a major center for the Muslim community living in the eastern suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and serves over 500 families. The Masjid is also close to the border of Wisconsin and is easily accessible to Muslims from western Wisconsin area, close to the Interstate I-94 East going towards Chicago/ Milwaukee.
ETCIC provides prayer services for daily, Friday and Eid. Along with other services, it provides an exceptional education service, with its full time weekend school 'The Islamic Learning Center', which offers classes for kids ranging from preschool to 18 years of age. ETCIC also holds various halaqas for all ages and social, interfaith and outreach programs for the community at large.

ETCIC will unify, support and nurture the East Metro Muslim community by offering high-quality services to engage, educate and mobilize the community.
The center will provide Islamic resources and education to sustain our community and to promote and encourage community participation, service, activism and inter-faith harmony.
To promote and sustain an educated, productive and compassionate Muslim community while serving, nurturing and contributing to the greater Twin Cities community.
To this end, Islamic Society of Woodbury – East Metro will provide physical, mental and spiritual benefit for the entire Twin Cities community.

The Islamic Center belongs to you and it was established to serve the needs of the community from an Islamic, Educational, Social, Wellness point of view and to spread the message of peace!

If you would like personal consultation or curious about any islamic topic - spiritual, fiqh, shariyat - you can reach out to us to schedule a time with our esteemed scholars in the community.
Every Saturday from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM and daily Zuhr Prayer you can visit the center to seek groceries for your family. Donors can visit anytime to drop of your non-perishable contributions for the food shelf.
After every Jumah / Friday Prayer we sell freshly prepared and sponsored food boxes for individuals / families in a rush to get back to work. Just stop by the hallway and use your senses to locate the delicious food!
