As-Salamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

The blessed month of Ramadan is coming shortly. Every good deed in the month of Ramadan earns multiple times of a reward for the same deed, done outside of the month of Ramadan.

Islamic Center of McLean County has started final phase of our project. We need your help and support to reach our goal to build the musallah in shaa allah.

Alhumdulillah, we are working with general contractors to get the necessary approvals in place. 

While we had completed all the necessary approvals and were ready to pull the building permit last year, we were unable to find a general contractor that would be able to build the masjid within our budget.

Based on community feedback, we have updated the project to accommodate our budget and the current costs  

We expect the total cost of the project to be above 2 million dollars. 

We have approximately 1.1 million in cash and pledges and we hope to raise the remaining amount.

We would like to raise as much as we can this year, before construction expenses pile up. We will continue to move forward and raise funds as construction begins inshaaAllah

Allah SWT says in the Quran,

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ ۚ وَمَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ - 34:39

Say, “ Surely, my Lord extends provision for whomsoever He wills, and straitens (it) for him. And whatever thing you spend, He replaces it, and He is the best of the sustainers

In the books of Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, our beloved Messenger of Allah, Muhammad  ﷺ‎ is narrated by Uthman bin Affa'an, to have said: 

عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ

"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”
