Masjid Al Musafireen & Muhaajir Islamic Center is a registered 501c3, non-profit organization, serving the community of Englewood on the South side of Chicago since 2010.. Our mission is to serve Allah by fulfilling the obligation of teaching Qu'ranic understanding while establishing the five daily salaat, and following the sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessing Be Upon Him). We are community residents, committed to effecting a positive change in our community. We have worked with Masjid Al-Latif, Islamic Circle Center, Southwest Youth Collaboration, Teamwork Englewood, and Chicago Public Schools (Gage Park and Harper High School, Dumas Elementary, and numerous others) as a vendor for after school programs since 2005 by way of our Self Starter Program teaching students and parents uses of multimedia through computer technology (Studio Recording, Sound Engineering, Web and Graphic Design, etc). Muhaajir Islamic Center will house a learning center for the youth and elderly, establish a zakat program, feed the hungry, provide guidance for new & non-Muslims continuing to seek knowledge, as well as offer mentoring programs, host health seminars, facilitate family workshops, be a source of referrals, and a host of other benefits to the community. Phase 3: Find a building to purchase for the Muhaajir Islamic Center. Preferably in the immediate area.
